European alternative to international contract management software
What you give up if you do not choose Agiloft, DocuSign CLM or Icertis, and what you get back. Including the cases where the international choice is the better one.
Organisations looking for contract management software often end up with American contract lifecycle management platforms such as Agiloft, DocuSign CLM, Icertis and Ironclad. None of them publishes package prices on its site; they quote after a demo. GRIP is a Dutch alternative with published rates, ISO 27001:2022 certification and contract data processed on European platforms.
The honest version is that this is not a like-for-like comparison. Contract lifecycle management is about the life of the document: drafting, negotiating, clause libraries, redlining and digital signing. GRIP starts at the signed agreement and is about delivery: terms, KPIs, indexation and actions, together with your supplier.
So if you are looking for a system to draft and sign contracts, a CLM platform is the right category and we are not it. If you want a grip on what happens after the signature, you do not need an international enterprise programme for that.

Choose an international CLM platform if
- your legal team drafts, redlines and negotiates contracts in the system
- you need clause libraries and approval workflows
- you want digital signing inside the same platform
- you operate in dozens of countries and need global legal coverage
Choose GRIP if
- your contracts are already signed and it is about what happens next
- you want to steer on KPIs, indexation, notice periods and open actions
- you want to know the cost up front and start without a yearly commitment
- processing within Europe and ISO 27001 are hard requirements
Frequently asked questions about a European alternative
Is there a European alternative to DocuSign CLM?
That depends on what you need it for. If you use DocuSign CLM mainly to draft and sign contracts, GRIP is not a replacement. If you use it mainly to keep sight of terms, obligations and performance, GRIP covers that, from the Netherlands and with processing on European platforms.
What do Agiloft, Icertis and Ironclad cost?
None of these vendors shows package prices on its own website; you receive a quotation after a demo. Figures you find on comparison sites are third party estimates. We do not repeat them, because they cannot be checked at the source.
Where is my contract data stored with GRIP?
The contract data you put into GRIP is processed exclusively on European platforms, within the European Economic Area and under European law. Our AI sub-processor is Mistral AI SAS, a French company, with a data processing agreement based on the GDPR.
Is GRIP a CLM platform?
No. GRIP is contract management software for the delivery of supplier contracts. Drafting, redlining and signing are not part of it. We would rather say that now than after the demo.
