3 advantages of smart data collection for quality measurements!

We are now making the case that a lot can be done with data. Earlier I explained what you can do with data, if you learn to think bigger than Excel. This time we dive into the benefits of adequate data analysis for your quality measurements with software. Did you already know the three benefits?

Inside facility
management, various quality measurements are performed. For example to
know whether the agreed price-quality ratio (in a tender)
are actually fulfilled. This way you can follow how the
different services, and you have the useful and necessary information
available if there is a new tender at the end of a contract.

The measurements can
concern the technical quality, but also the quality of the
experience, hospitality and processes, but also, for example, the degree of
employee satisfaction. Shift
those measurements from paper (and from your drawer) to an online environment, then you can
lots of useful information here. So this time one
article about the three biggest advantages of quality measurements with software.

Advantage 1: Compare

Measurements are often taken together to pass or fail. Take, for example, the well-known VSR measurement. This way of measuring is useful, because you have a clear standard. But it can happen that sanitary facilities have scored lower for a while, but that the rest is cleaned properly. Then the entire measurement may be insufficient, while it only concerns the sanitary facilities. You can prevent this if you use software to link a number to the measurements. Therefore, the first advantage: compare!

By mapping the data of quality measurements per room category in a structured way, you can easily compare. As a result, spaces that score an unsatisfactory are immediately revealed. This way you have the correct representation of how things really stand and you know where the points for improvement lie. This way you can use software to monitor exactly how the cleaning is developing.

for goodbye!

Advantage 2: Continuous monitoring

Do you also often end up with quality measurements on the big heap? Then the overview is actually constantly missing. Subsequently, no one is held responsible if the services are not in good shape at all. With a data-driven, digital approach, you have insight into the measurements and the associated results wherever you want. This way you can continuously monitor the results.

In the end it goes
namely not about the final rating, but about the trend line of the smaller ones
chapters in between. If you continuously have a good picture of this, then
suddenly not such a big undertaking anymore. Adjust based on
data, then everyone ultimately benefits.

Benefit 3: Benchmarking

An average quality figure per service provided or KPI is in itself very insightful. But it says little about how your facilities compare to others. Do you really want to know whether your average quality meets the quality of your competitors? Then it’s time to benchmark.

In benchmarking it is
important to enter and save your data correctly. Hit you
not doing well? Then you can’t compare. Then by looking at
the average figures for facilities within your industry, or just outside it,
you can analyze to what extent your facility management has been successful or correct
less successful. Do you see, for example, that the employee satisfaction figures
within your company are far below standard compared to yours
competitors? Then you know there is work to be done.

Benchmarking is possible
even if you manage multiple locations. For example, it is possible
be transparent to calculate the average figure across all locations and
then compare them. Parts of a digital measurement can also be used
benchmarking. Consider, for example, a check on hot drink vending machines: your couple
that you not only want to know the final grade, but also how the hygiene scores
compared to the dosage, you can also benchmark with this. You simply set the standard with it, where
minimum must be met. Those benchmarks also work well
when new services or locations come under management.

The complete picture with the right data

Get a grip and a view
the quality of the facilities within your organization. Work with data. So you can
you benchmark, compare space categories and the quality continuously
monitor. Ideal for when you really want to get the most out of your company, or
to prepare for a future tender.
