At the beginning of my career I worked for a large Dutch facility services provider, where I saw operational management and contract management connect with each other. At the time, this was done at a fairly traditional level, namely with Excel, e-mail and a number of separate applications for planning and remuneration. That can and should be done differently, the need for GRIP Facility with its facility contract management solution was found. Nothing stands in the way of digitization and automation.

For GRIP Facility, a facility contract consists of 2 parts:
• Financial (Calculation, extra work and turns)
• Contract agreements, for example a KPI (Key Perfmance Indicator).
These two parts are central to all contracts and we saw the need to manage these two contracts in a solution other than Microsoft Excel. That's not because we don't use Excel ourselves, that's because we wanted to make a better and future-oriented solution. Future. Is digitization our goal? No. Is automation our goal then? No. We want to make it possible for existing calculations and KPI agreements to become an automated link between existing systems.
For clients this means: transparency, availability of certain information and easy connection to existing systems within an organization. Think of the FMIS or the ERP system. For contractors this means an automated process, where GRIP is just one link of many things. GRIP is for the contract and mutation management, but that is precisely in line with the invoicing, planning and remuneration of people. An automatic link, that is not possible with Excel. By digitizing and linking, the information can be used to optimize contracts, in order to ultimately bring the building users and their experience to the best level. What is the ultimate goal for both the service provider and the client.
